The Deanery CE Academy, Swindon

The Deanery CE Academy is a new non-selective school that opened in September 2019 within the Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust (DBAT), in Wichelstowe, Swindon. The school caters for students aged 11 to 18 and currently has 150 students on roll, rising to 1470 by 2025.

The Deanery CE Academy benefits from state-of-the-art facilities including a state-of-the-art theatre, lecture theatre, Sport England specification sports hall, a large Sport England specification floodlit all weather pitch, and classrooms as well as other sporting and non-sporting facilities. The facilities allow us to provide students with a full range of sporting activities within extra-curricular activities and within the curriculum.

Additionally, the outstanding school facilities are used extensively by the school and local community. We have a diverse portfolio of clubs and activities running every evening and during the weekend.

Facilities include: a large Sport England specification floodlit all weather pitch, conference suite including 108 seat lecture theatre (the Egg), dance studio, dining room, music room, drama room, food room, grass football pitches (11 and 9 a side), Multi Use Games Area (2 netball courts or 2 tennis courts), 440 seat theatre, meeting room, Sport England specification sports hall and classrooms.

Our lettings are open 7 days a week including bank holidays and extended opening hours during school holidays. There is ample parking available onsite for 192 cars, 10 motorbikes and 12 disabled parking bays. Our friendly staff are always available to help.

Please note our lettings team currently only work Monday to Friday, so please ensure any weekend booking requests are made on Thursday for that coming weekend to avoid any disappointment.
