The Sir Robert Woodard Academy is a mixed gender academy, sponsored by Woodard Academies Trust and West Sussex County Council, in Lancing, West Sussex which opened in September 2009. The academy serves the communities of Lancing, Sompting and Shoreham. The academy is named after Robert Woodard, great-grandson of Nathaniel Woodard.
The Sir Robert Woodard Academy benefits from state-of-the-art facilities including a large sports hall with tiered seating for 600, a large floodlit 3G pitch, a large floodlit multi-use games area, a 178 seat theatre with 50" screen, as well as a host other sporting and non-sporting facilities. The facilities provide students with a full range of sporting activities within extra-curricular activities and within the curriculum.
Additionally, the outstanding school facilities are used extensively by the school and local community. We have a diverse portfolio of clubs and activities running every evening and during the weekend.
Our lettings are open 7 days a week, 50 weeks a year, with closures only during bank holidays and between Christmas and the New Year. There are extended opening hours during school holidays. There is ample parking available onsite and our friendly staff are always available to help.
